A fork sensor is a through-beam sensor with the sender and receiver built into the two arms of one housing, so there is nothing to align. It is the standard way to detect label gaps on labelling machines and small parts passing through a guide.
SICK WF sensors come in fork widths from 2 mm (for labels on a backing web) up to 180 mm (for larger parts). WFS types are made specifically for label detection, including transparent labels; WF types with plus/minus buttons suit general detection; WFE types are the economical choice with potentiometer setting.
Pick the fork width to suit the material, and the fork depth to reach far enough into the web. We supply WF sensors as replacements on labelling machines and for new label applicators — send the type code or the fork dimensions and we match it.
The codes our customers ask for most. Add the ones you need to your quote list — or send any other WF Fork Sensors variant and we check it for you.

Send a photo of the SICK part’s nameplate or label. Our engineers identify it and reply with the exact code and a quotation.
SICK WF Fork Sensors prices are quoted per part number. The final price depends on the exact code, the quantity and the exchange rate on the day, so we send an itemised quotation with prices, lead time and terms for every line.
To get a price, add part numbers from the table to your quote list, message us on WhatsApp, or send a photo of the nameplate. We deliver across Pakistan — Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad and industrial areas in between.
Applications
Detecting the gap between labels on the backing web.
Counting caps, screws and components through a guide.
Checking web presence and edge position on converting machines.

FAQs
For labels on a backing web, a narrow fork (2–5 mm) such as a WFS3 is standard. Choose the fork depth so the beam reaches the label area of the web.
The WFS label sensors are designed for this; standard infrared forks may not. Tell us the label material and we recommend the right type.
