About the SICK MZT8 Magnetic Cylinder Sensors
Magnetic cylinder sensors detect the magnet in a pneumatic cylinder's piston through the cylinder wall, telling the PLC when the cylinder has reached its end position. The SICK MZT8 fits the T-slot found on most modern cylinders and drops into the slot from above, so it can be fitted without removing the cylinder or its brackets.
The standard versions switch a PNP output and come with a short cable and M8 or M12 plug, or with an open cable for direct wiring. Their small size suits compact and short-stroke cylinders, and the LED makes position setting easy during commissioning.
Cylinder sensors are frequent spares on packing and handling machines. We supply MZT8 sensors in the common connection versions and can advise on sensors for C-slot and tie-rod cylinders too.

MZT8 sensors fit T-slot cylinders. For C-slot, round or tie-rod cylinders, a different sensor or an adapter is needed — send the cylinder make and model and we check.
What is the difference between KP0 and KWB versions?
The ending gives the connection: KP0 is a short cable with an M8 plug, while KWB and similar endings have an open cable for direct wiring.
