About the SICK W12 Photoelectric Sensors

The W12 family is SICK's rugged photoelectric sensor for harsh production environments: a die-cast metal housing, a precise light spot and switching that stays stable when products change colour or finish. It is a common sight on bottling, food and packaging lines, where sensors are washed down and knocked by product.

Choose the principle by the task. WTB12 background-suppression sensors detect a product at a set distance and ignore everything behind it — ideal for dark or mixed-colour products. WTF12 foreground-suppression sensors do the opposite and detect when the known background is covered. WL12 retro-reflective sensors work with a reflector across the conveyor, and WSE12 through-beam pairs give the longest range.

Older codes such as WTB12-3P2431 and newer WTB12F/WTM12F types sit side by side in many plants. Send us the code from your sensor and we supply the same type or the current equivalent.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is background suppression?

The sensor measures distance by triangulation and only switches for objects within its set range. Anything further away — a conveyor frame or a shiny wall — is ignored, which makes detection of dark products reliable.

Is WL12-3P2431 still available?

Send us the code: we confirm current availability and, where a type has changed, supply the current equivalent with the same mounting and connection.

What is the price of SICK W12 Photoelectric Sensors in Pakistan?

Prices depend on the exact part number, quantity and current exchange rate. Send us the codes you need and we reply with an itemised quotation. Quotes within 24 hours on working days.

My SICK part number is not in the table. Can you offer it?

The table shows the codes we are asked for most; we offer the other W12 Photoelectric Sensors variants too. Send the part number or a photo of the nameplate and we reply with a quotation.

Are these genuine SICK products?

Yes. We offer genuine SICK products only — no copies, and no substitutes without your approval.
