Photoelectric sensors detect objects with a light beam, at distances from a few centimetres to many metres and regardless of material. Fotek's range covers the everyday detection tasks on conveyors and packaging machines at an economical price.
The M18 series is a threaded tubular sensor: CDR types are diffuse (reflex) sensors that see the object directly (10–60 cm), CDM types are mirror-reflex sensors working with a reflector (around 2 m), and CDT types are through-beam pairs for the longest range. The A3 and E3 series offer the same principles in rectangular housings, including polarised mirror-reflex types for shiny products.
Choose diffuse for short ranges, mirror-reflex for across-conveyor detection and through-beam for long distances or dusty areas. Send the distance and object type and we recommend the sensor.
