About the Pepperl+Fuchs Rectangular Inductive Sensors
When a cylindrical sensor does not fit, or the target is further away, a rectangular inductive sensor is the answer. Pepperl+Fuchs makes two popular families. The compact F-series blocks (F10, F11, F29, F33) mount flat against a machine frame with two screws and suit guides, rails and tight spaces.
The VariKont family (L2 and U1 housings) offers the longest ranges — up to 40 mm on the NBN40 types — and a sensing head that can be turned to face in five directions, so one part covers many mounting positions. VariKont sensors are a standard choice for detecting large metal objects, valve flags and conveyor pallets.
As with the cylindrical range, NBB means flush and NBN non-flush mounting, E2 a PNP normally-open output and V1 an M12 connector. Send the code from your sensor and we supply the same type.
