The SINAMICS V20 is Siemens' basic variable frequency drive for standard motor applications — pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors and mixers. It is quick to set up with ready-made connection macros and application macros, and the built-in operator panel lets a technician commission a drive without a laptop.
There are two voltage ranges: single-phase 200–240 V for small motors up to 3 kW, and three-phase 380–480 V from 0.75 kW up to 22 kW. Every drive has 4 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 2 analog inputs and an analog output, plus USS and Modbus RTU for PLC control. An energy-saving mode (ECO) reduces power on lightly loaded pumps and fans.
The smaller 400 V frames are now supplied as -UV1 versions, which replace the older -UV0 codes one for one. Send us the motor kW, voltage and application and we quote the correct V20, braking resistor and any line filter needed.

For the 400 V drives from 0.75 kW to 7.5 kW, the -UV1 versions replace the -UV0 codes (for example 6SL3210-5BE21-5UV0 → 6SL3210-5BE21-5UV1). Larger frames are still -UV0.
Match the drive to the motor's rated current and voltage, not only kW. For heavy-starting loads such as crushers or loaded conveyors, choose one size up. Send the motor nameplate photo and we size it.
