A motor protection circuit breaker replaces the fuse and overload relay in a starter: it trips on short circuit, on overload and on phase loss, and it isolates the motor with a clear rotary handle. SIRIUS 3RV2 breakers are the Siemens standard, and they mount directly under 3RT2 contactors with a link module to build a compact starter.
Each breaker covers a current setting range. Choose the one whose range includes the motor's full-load current, then set the dial to that value. Size S00 covers up to 16 A; size S0 continues up to 25 A and beyond.
