An automatic transfer switch moves the load to the generator when the mains fails and back again when the mains returns — no one has to run to the changeover switch during load-shedding. For homes, shops, clinics and small plants with a standby generator, an ATS is one of the most useful upgrades.
TOMZN's TOQ6 and slim TOQ9 are compact DIN-rail ATS units in 2-pole and 4-pole versions up to 63 A, switching in under 50 ms. The TOQ7 covers three-phase supplies. The TOQ3 and TOQ1M are MCB-type transfer switches up to 125 A; the TOQ1M also has built-in breaker protection and an auto/manual selector. Mains always has priority, and the switch never connects the two sources together.
Note that a transfer switch changes the supply but does not start the generator — generators with auto-start need a separate controller. We can design and install complete changeover arrangements.
