About the Schneider Electric TeSys LRD Thermal Overload Relays

A thermal overload relay protects a motor against overload and phase loss: when the current stays above the set value, the relay opens its contact and drops out the contactor. The TeSys LRD range is designed to plug straight into the bottom of TeSys D (LC1D) contactors, making a compact starter with no extra wiring between the two.

Each LRD covers a setting range printed on its code: LRD08 covers 2.5–4 A, LRD14 7–10 A, LRD32 23–32 A, and the LRD3xx relays cover the larger contactors up to 65 A. All are class 10A, suitable for standard motors with normal starting times, and have a test button, a stop button and a choice of manual or automatic reset.

To choose an LRD, take the motor nameplate current and pick the relay whose range contains it, then set the dial to that current. Send us the motor data or the code of your existing relay and we match it.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How do I set an LRD overload relay?

Set the dial to the motor's full-load current from its nameplate. In a star-delta starter wired in the phase circuit, set it to the phase current (about 58% of the line current).

Which LRD for a 7.5 kW motor?

A 7.5 kW 400 V motor draws roughly 14–15 A, so the LRD21 (12–18 A) is the usual choice. Always confirm with the nameplate current.

What is the price of Schneider Electric TeSys LRD Thermal Overload Relays in Pakistan?

Prices depend on the exact part number, quantity and current exchange rate. Send us the codes you need and we reply with an itemised quotation. Quotes within 24 hours on working days.

My Schneider Electric part number is not in the table. Can you offer it?

The table shows the codes we are asked for most; we offer the other TeSys LRD Thermal Overload Relays variants too. Send the part number or a photo of the nameplate and we reply with a quotation.

Are these genuine Schneider Electric products?

Yes. We offer genuine Schneider Electric products only — no copies, and no substitutes without your approval.
